The Vermont Technology Council is committed to supporting a nurturing environment for information technology, a clean, growing industry that provides high-paying jobs and is vital to the future of Vermont’s economy.

In 2000, the Council collaborated with Champlain College to create the Vermont Information Technology Center.

The Center has become a major resource point for Vermont individuals and organizations with an interest in the various aspects of information technology.

It fosters economic growth by helping small businesses more effectively use the many aspects of information technology in their operations, and by coordinating and supporting responsive education for our IT workforce.

The Center has also worked closely with state government to support the expansion and improvement of the Vermont economy.
